What extra advantage Methylprednisolone has over prednisolone for sudden SNHL or Indirect Optic nerve injury.
Fact is Methylprednisolone is only marginally potent than prednisolone. Dexamethasone and betamethasone are 5 times potent than methylprednisolone. So then why not dexa or betamethasone espl when later have zero mineralocorticoid activity and hence less fluid retention.
