But I do remember a Carotid Artery bleed during my training at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Such kind of bleed may prove catastrophic as Carotid artery is a major artery supplying blood to brain. Other complication could be loss of vision as Optic nerve runs in its lateral wall. Leakage of CSF (cerebrospinal fluid or fluid surrounding the brain) could be another potential complication).
